Portreath Bomb Incident 3rd February 2026 |
An old explosive device was found in a stream in Portreath yesterday afternoon, police attended and requested the assistance of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team, who attended to make the device safe. It was relocated to Portreath Beach where it was dealt with by controlled explosion. It was found to be a World War 2 British 12 Pound HE Shell.
A huge thank you to all the businesses and residents that we interacted with and evacuated the area in Portreath. The site was made safe and hopefully we won't find another one soon!
Thank you all! | ||
